Romania Leads EU in Rooftop Solar PV Generation

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the launch of the EU's Green Transition Plan, REPowerEU, a report reveals a surge in demand for rooftop solar PV systems, leading to increased installations across the European Union. Romania, Greece, and France are among the top three countries in terms of PV generation. Overall, most EU member states have made significant progress in promoting rooftop solar PV generation, with a 54% year-on-year increase in total generation. To meet growing electricity demand, EU member states are continuously expanding grid capacity, promoting energy sharing, deploying smart meters, raising public awareness, and increasing the number of skilled workers.
