Ireland Launches New Scheme to Support Clean Energy Transition

The Irish government has launched a new Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme, investing €500 million. The scheme offers homeowners loan opportunities ranging from €5,000 to €75,000, with a term of up to 10 years, for renovation projects on their properties. Qualifying upgrades include installations of heat pumps, solar power, and solar water heaters. The program will be overseen by the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). Projects funded by the scheme must be carried out by a one-stop service center, energy partner, or community coordinator registered with the SEAI.
